Not all Syrian refugees and their stories end in death and pain. A boy known only as the little flutist has manage to escape the Syria and now take refuge in Istanbul. Is life by no means is easy. He makes roughly 10 U.S dollars a day begging by playing his flute, in a place where it is illegal to do so. While in such a tough condition the little flutist is kind and won't give up on his music to help him survive. The video to the left provides more details

The topic of music as an importance in refugees brings us the the Refugee Music Project. Zaatari is a refugee camp which house thousand of Syrian refugees and as stated by Mohamad Isa Almazedi a vocalist said, "All of our songs are about the longing and the nostalgia to our country. Every single one of us has lost someone, or someone they know has been arrested." This is reflected in many of the songs their songs. These songs were documented by Olly Burton and Alex Blogg in a series of short documentaries about Zaatari residents and their music. Zaatari is a refugee camp which house thousand of Syrian refugee. Their work is featured in the refugee music project and serves to educate and evoke a response.
